Welcome to RADICAL PARK – EPISODE 1! We dive into the fourth album by Juantxo Skalari & La Rude Band, a musical journey that began with the albums “Rudi Records” (2018) and “Roots Market” (2020), since the release of “Rude Station” in 2014. “Radical Park” maintains a conceptual connection with all previous works, and stands as a fundamental piece to understand the Skalari evolution throughout more than a quarter of a century of history. “Radical Park – Episode 1” marks the beginning of a “rude” adventure, an album that unfolds from the epic intro “Sarrera X”, interweaving different cinematographic sequences, which unify the 7 songs, and that will captivate you by evoking the eighties and nineties, with a current, fresh and differential sound. Although the “rude” ideals endure, the evolution of Skalari’s sound in recent years is undeniable. In addition, this new album presents three unique collaborations: the muse of Latin ska, Mimi Maura, joins Juantxo’s voice in “Radical Boom” (a song in which Marcos Úbeda from Zoo Posse also participates with a peculiar trombone solo); the Valencian reggae band, Auxili, nail it in the calm and positive “Rudosteady”; and the state rock band, Los de Marras, give us the powerful voice of Agus in “Esta es mi Vida”. A vibrant cocktail that walks between Reggae, Ska, Rocksteady, rock and punk, backed by a consolidated Rude Band, with committed lyrics that will not leave you indifferent, and with the freshness of a new addition to the production: Mr Hugsound. Paxkal Etxepare’s masterful mix and Simon Capony’s mastering bring the final sound of the album to life. From February 9th, you can enjoy “Radical Park – Episode 1” on all digital platforms, and for lovers of the authentic, it will also be available on vinyl. But that’s not all, a Dolby Atmos version is also being worked on for this Episode 1, produced by Giacomo Buonafina, the avant-garde cherry on top of a work with a careful design (signed by Marc Sardà) that complements the conceptual idea of this first part of “Radical Park” on the cover and the illustration on the back cover of the LP.
